Maybe he's delusional enough to think his comments will motivate them to prove him wrong, their game next week is a must watch now..

Mex - I'm not sure about upsetting the players bit, doubt they take too much notice of soundbites like that, but yea to come out with that already is extremely alarming for anyone connected to the club, it's just an old shit manager cliched excuse, and he was meant to be the man to turn them around, but all he has done so far is make them wear suits and taken mayonnaise out of the canteen. He's looking like a rabbit caught in the headlights already. Great stuff.

Erik ten Hag says the club "needs quality players"
What a fuck up that statement is! Just pissed off all his already underperforming players by saying they are not good enough. And he won't get better players joining, who would join that shower? They have good players, this idiot needs to get them playing with desire and graft and he isn't going to get that by writing them off!
This is a wonderful start to behold!

They're a club without a strategy and milestones to get them to where they want to be. It's glorious to watch.

However, if they're still struggling by the time we play the, sod's law says we'll be the charity case.

Re: Man United Relegation thread 22/23
Just watched the highlights and noticed that Hag has obviously told them to play it out from the back. And they kept getting caught because none of them at the back are good enough or know how to do it.

And it made me think of how pre season doesn’t tell you the whole story. In pre season, no team would be pressing you like Brentford did. Who’s going to bother?

So I think Hag looked shell shocked as it’s dawned on him that he can’t actually apply the style of football he knows how to play with these players. Because the basics are literally keeping possession and that starts by being able to pass your way out from the back.

Unless hag has a plan b he’s done.
I’m not sure that team will pick up any points in the next 6 games. Madness.

Sancho has been eaten up and spat out alive by the PL, must be one of the worst pound for pound signings in history, filed alongside Pepe at Arsenal. Just as well the cunt is caked as I don't see him coming back. Won't be anywhere near waistcoats World Cup squad.

Transfers really can make or break a club, and this lot have got so many wrong, and they still seem to keep repeating the same mistakes. Varane is another expensive flop who got found out and now they replace him with this Martinez bloke for 60 odd mil. Unreal.

Re: Man United Relegation thread 22/23
They've assembled a squad that doesn't really have any natural leader or leaders. They've gone down blind alleys with Cavani, and Ronaldo, instead of finding a young talent. They've assumed that by buying anyone who is going to cost them loads, they're getting top quality, Wan Bissaka, Maguire, Shaw, and the dreadful Sancho, is living proof they have had their trousers pulled down. And finally, they've had a string of short term lightweight managers who haven't helped them at all.

was interesting listening to son of bagpuss & the shop steward. neville describing how there's very little money available, and that old trafford & the training ground are falling apart and could cost anything up to a billion to sort out. amazing stuff, and all the while that gum chewing jock twat is still lurking in the shadows. didn't he even attend the recent meeting with ronaldo, and david gill also made an appearance? a shambles 😂

They are so far away from proper fans that they think they are very clever to support the team that wins everything...

...not able to cope with them stopping winning everything

Re: Man United Relegation thread 22/23
It's absolute quality that people who decided to 'support' a club 200 miles away because they won everything, are now really upset because they're crap. It's fucking brilliant.

They don't even go and watch their team because it's so far away and they never even went when they were good. But they're all so sad now and tweet that it hurts so much. Superb. Never been able to have a conversation about football with these types. It's like they support a brand like Apple or something.
